When are we getting the one where he admits to cannibalism?
CaptKoala@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•It's almost 2025, what futuristic things did you think we would have had by now or accomplished?English12·7 months agoMost people can’t be trusted operating a ground-dwelling vehicle, I’m fine with not having flying ones yet.
CaptKoala@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How would you react if Reddit joined the fediverse?English12·9 months agoPoorly, I left for a reason.
Yeah baby, yeah you piece of shit.
Valve is numerically challenged.
I get where you’re coming from, however I reckon he’s doing a huge public service in this regard, imagine someone just happens to click on one of his vids and learns how scummy corpos are. That’s why I believe he should continue with these callouts, but yeah I’d like to see more actual repair stuff in future.
Just watch the first 5-10min and once you think you’ve heard something before, find something else to watch 🤷
I fucking love Louis, knows his shit, isn’t afraid to call shitfuckery out for what it is.
I genuinely can’t recall a video of his I’ve watched that hasn’t been informative, entertaining or both.
My opinion if him continues to climb, however, as instructed, if he ever uses adobe premiere for a video and I find out about it, it’s an unsub from me.
CaptKoala@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What industry do you work in and what are the LPT the general public should know about it?English51·1 year agoI finally let my phone do some app updates the other week, my banking app now displays full screen ads for their credit cards, conveniently right as you go to click the transfer button.
I don’t update shit anymore. I update my OS and apps on my desktop, but my phone is now being actively neglected in regards to app updates. Every single app update breaks something, removes a feature, or brings ads into the picture.
Because a deck OLED is over $1k here 🙄
CaptKoala@lemmy.mlto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If your life story was turned into a book,, what would the title be?English3·1 year agoA multitude of fuckups.
CaptKoala@lemmy.mlto Linux@lemmy.ml•Any suggestions for cheap but decent laptops for coding?English1·1 year agoI thought exactly the same thing, as previously though, I was willing to swallow the $8 (at the time) in order to use my tablet for coding (may as well be a laptop running android tbh).
CaptKoala@lemmy.mlto Linux@lemmy.ml•Any suggestions for cheap but decent laptops for coding?English2·1 year agoThat’s fucked up, it was $8AUD when I got it like a year ago. Fuckin corpos and their price hikes.
I was happy to swallow it to code on the go, but I only used it for a few weeks. Sometimes I lay in bed to code though so I can watch TV as well (never mind all the errors I make as a result).
CaptKoala@lemmy.mlto Linux@lemmy.ml•Any suggestions for cheap but decent laptops for coding?English2·1 year agoI’ve got a Lenovo P11, goes pretty well on a charge, and VSCode is available on android, haven’t used it much as I almost always code at home now.
I hadn’t considered (on more than a surface level) this viewpoint, I do agree wholeheartedly regarding getting your money’s worth doesn’t necessarily come down to ownership, but rather enjoyment/fulfillment.
I held a micro$hit game pass subscription for quite a while, and (almost) always felt I was getting my money’s worth out of it, if not for game pass, there’s quite a few games I’d never have considered buying, some of these have been the most enjoyable I have played.
With that said however, I much prefer not having to worry about a game in my library disappearing because a license ran out, or it was dropped from a service. I spend about 80% of my gaming budget on discounted stuff, usually a couple years after release, when most of the bugs are ironed out.
No reason not to help them along…
