why do i only see two posts on my end even though the sidebar says 7 posts?

New bug yestertday, there is an open GitHub issue: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3515
If you sort by “new”, all posts will show. Hopefully they will be updating the server soon.
