Despite this, more than a dozen top tech executives and corporations have pledged millions to the Omarchy / Omacom Foundation. They include the CEOs of Shopify, Stripe, Dell, Cloudflare, Block, Dropbox, Coinbase, and others, as listed on Omarchy’s patrons page.

I think it is not despite, but precisely because of it that these people are funding it.
