I was trying to install eos on my fairphone, but I can’t get past this screen. Anyone know what I have to do differently?
It is recommended by many to try and install via the CLI as it is more reliable and has well made tutorials.
Okay, Ill try that.
I installed /e/OS on my FP6 through the CLI instructions, there are some oversimplified steps but some common sense and you’ll get there.
I installed iodéOS on my FP5 and I prefer it, microG works great from the start, better than in /e/OS. Even Revolut app seems to work (haven’t completed the setup but usually fails to start with a not supported OS warning, which it shows on /e/OS). When I installed iodéOS had to use the CLI but they have now updated their automated installer and both FP5 and 6 are now supported.
I tried iodéOS on the FP6, installed manually, but it wasn’t working right. It kept blocking up on second boot. That was before they suported it officially with their installer, I’m going to try it now that I changed my daily driver to the new Jolla Phone.
Js your phone connected via USB? Are you in bootloader mode? What is on your phone? I think we need more information.
If you run the easy installer via Linux - try it on a windows PC. I had a similar problem installing eOs on a Pixel for a Family Member
Sorry, I responded to another post and didn’t properly read your issue.
You need to place the phone in fastboot mode, this is done powering on the phone while depressing the Volume Down button.
This one of the parts that isn’t very explicit, I think due to being generic to several models of phones.
