      Isn’t this the version of Cross Road Blues on Robert Johnson “King of the Delta Blues” album, released by the label Colombia-Legacy in 1998? Available on Streaming.

        I cant help but be cynical about this. Who is Nick Dellow and how did he get this copy? All the news I see about this points back to this YouTube page as the source rather than an announcement from the record company.

          update: So it seems Nick Dellow is an audio engineer engineer does this. I cant find a website or anything beyond YouTube for him. If anyone can find more info on how to reach out to him I’d love to get hands on some FLACs or WAVs of many items from his YouTube channel.

            Uploaded by sound restorer Nick Dellow, it was originally made in 1940 straight from the metal master by Columbia Records producer George Avakian, who would go on to work with everyone from Miles Davis to Edith Piaf to John Cage.

            Just thought that was an interesting note, pretty cool imo!
