Are there a lot of hosting providers out there that only support PHP?

website hosting plans are the cheapest, and easiest to manage , many hosts include hostinger, dreamhost, digital ocean , 1&1, ovh … (even though their basic plans could limit a social media software’s functionalities)
non techy people can easly host, maintain, and tweaks their wordpress or drupal websites.
hosting on VPS and dedicated servers is reserved to the very few technicaly savy and trained people. + they are more expensive to run.
@heckler@reiver@Veritas There’s a Fediverse plugin for WordPress. It’s currently limited to following and commenting but WordPress wants to improve it.

@narF@reiver@Veritas I am aware of that, and it will be a great addition to the fediverse, but what I was talking about is more like a social media platform than long post blogger platform
