Lagrangian mechanics wins again baby! Newton can suck it!
Yeah, people should have to work it out for themselves like my daddy didn’t.
I sometimes suspect that the push for decimalisation was in part to avoid having to teach computers the old system.
Well, he’s clearly not talking about small people like say, me or you compared to Trump or Musk. And let me be clear, he is probably wrong about that as well. If Trump is anti-google that is likely nothing more than a negotiating position.
It’s probably just a language thing. When he says small people he means sub-mega corporations. Actual humans probably pass beneath his notice.
Even if it used to be worse, it certainly didn’t get better because people were content with it.
I use Neovim for most of my coding. Though admittedly that is very rarely HTML.
What about what you have tried so far isn’t working for you? You seem to like them.
Sure, the thing is, to extend the analogy, you are asking for there to be slightly smaller nuts. Nuts that for reasons imperceptible to the eye, won’t fit good bolts. Nuts for which a manufacturer would have to build new machines to make.
It given that you expect to import it via Ali express, it is no more ‘a just now’ solution than doing the job right.
Do you mean slightly oversized plugs to force into old usb sockets? I don’t know how you’d even supply chain that, being that the changes are probably within the tolerance envelope, or you are breaking the standard and that is far from a good idea. I also don’t think this is usually the problem. In my experience it has been less the socket getting stretched and more it getting packed up with dust so the clips don’t engage properly. Cleaning out the port tends to solve the problem.
If the port is actually mangled, better to do a proper fix on it. Because we stick to the standard the part cost is minimal so even if you are going to a tech you are mainly just paying labour and rent.
Generally I find they are. Herbs are leaves, flowers and (herbaceous) stems, spices are other parts. A plant might provide both a herb and a spice, but they will typically be different parts of a plant.
Tea would be a herb.
Yeah, this is much the same kind of use. If you work on the assumption that it is just something that has read everything, and everything that has been written about everything you can find it’s utility. Folk want it to be some kind of fact genie, but the only facts it knows are what words go together, and it literally doesn’t know the difference between real and made up.
Isn’t the entire purpose of copilot that it shouldn’t need much in the way of training? I think the extent of it at my employer is “this is the one you use.”
I’ve tried it a few times, the only thing it seems remotely good for is when your recollection of a source is too fuzzy to form a traditional search query around. “What’s that book series I read in the early 2000s about kids who traveled to another world and the things they brought back from it just looked like junk.” Kind of questions.
Hey, you know that thing you use? What if it had a button on it that opened an AI prompt?
Well my mum says it’s a really smart idea from her special little innovator.
Unironically? Maybe not. But using something ironically is still using it.
Just don’t read The Mirror. Generally not worth the effort of moving your eyes from one word to the next.
“Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?” -Andrew Ryan, a very smart man who went to live under the sea and I am sure nothing bad ever happened to.
Yeah, you are right.
Is it a twist? It seems it’s only shocking if you think the bible is a good guide to morality or you judge people by their words not their actions.
