I had to set up an app on Wine + macOS, the app spawns bg processes that have a window (on Wine, not on Windows) for some reason and each time that happens the main window app loses focus. Couldn’t solve it. On Linux + Plasma Wayland the problem is inverse ie. even the main window doesn’t have an icon on taskbar, if you minimize it you can restore with only Alt + Tab.
people who install Windows on their Steam Deck?
I see this way too often, nearly half of the 2nd hand Decks sold here have Windows🤷♂️

Ubo prevents ad resources from being loaded, not loading / rendering ads at all makes a major difference in battery and bandwidth usage in my experience. Most notably bandwidth usage drops by %90 in most extreme cases.

WSL: If your friend is a dev and needs Linux cli utilities, use this. Dual Boot: If your friend wants to daily drive Linux, use this. Shrink Windows NTFS partition within Windows then install Linux to blank space. Virtualbox: Testing ground for dual boot, your friend can familiarise themselves with Linux safely using a VM.
I have 8723be, not only it randomly disconnects but also it sometimes drops to 30 KB/s requiring a reconnect and has bad signal reception even on Windows. Ethernet 4 life.
I used it like 10 minutes ago lol, it is indeed useful and just got an upgrade.
Sharing a file to your device via KDE Connect no longer breaks after the first time you do it until the app you shared the file from is restarted
Yeeeees!
AUR packages tend to break more often compared to repos ie. anything on AUR that utilizes python needs to be rebuilt if system python is updated.
You do not use AUR enough
Nope, you can install extensions to regular FF for a while on Android. Go to addons.mozilla.org and install like how you would do it on desktop. Request desktop site if extension claims to be incompatible.
Dark Reader is intensive, I will give this a shot. So far so good on FF mobile.
