It is weird though, I tried “tell me about the picture of the man in front of a tank” and it gives a lot of proper information, including about censorship from governments. I think I tested on the 14b model

Thanks, I’ll give this a go too!
That’s a fair point too. Its not the same PSU, but I’m doing a lot more with the server that might be using beyond its capability
That’s a fair point too. I’m really hoping it’s not a hardware problem, but I’ll definitely take a look at that
I greatly appreciate the additional info. I’ll finally be able to take a look in the morning. Hopefully I find something obvious and easy to fix lol
Yeah I really don’t know that I’m looking for unfortunately. I was something would jump out at me. I’m pretty new to Linux altogether so I’m kind of winging a lot
Thanks, I’ll see what I can find with that
That’s great to hear. I would probably use it for checking on my server, watching some videos and some basic work tasks. Sounds like it would work fine enough for that. Thanks for the info!
I guess I just picture a phone powering a “PC like” station struggling and lagging. That’s probably an outdated concern considering things like raspberry pi’s run just fine
That’s neat lop. How was it’s functionality?
That is interesting, thanks for pointing it out
That’s a fair point. I hope with more of these coming on the market there might end up being an open-source or just Linux phone standard so mobile OS’s operate more akin to desktops than they do right now with all the tuning to specific hardware.
Yeah with the right specs, and assuming I could use a usb-c dock with the phone like a computer with OK specs, I’d put more money into that so I don’t really need a laptop tbh. Upgradeability makes that even better
I really want a Linux phone that isn’t neutered, but I also don’t want it to be $2k+ Lol. If the librem 5 is anything to go by (at $800 with pretty outdated specs) I’m bracing for 2k
My main PC only stays on for a couple days at a time (on sleep/hibernate when not in use) only because I’m generally too lazy to shut all programs down. I reboot on updates though, which is every couple days.
I use it on my work laptop and recently put it on my Mom’s computer (basically a browser machine anyway) as well. So far so good on both. The only thing my mom doesn’t like is that the file explorer is called dolphin, she said it’s confusing. I plan on using a menu editor to change the name, then all is well.
I got a 6 a few months ago and it’s solid. I only got it as a test but ended up using it full time. I do wish j had gotten a newer one only to future proof more
Getting a used/refurbished one doesn’t really give them anything, and actually prevents them from getting data on the next person who would have gotten the used phone and used the stock OS
That does help. One of the things on my to do list was setting up a backup system anyway, so maybe I’ll play with that. Thanks!
Worth noting that the wired version is fully supported with ckb next, the wireless one is only experimentally supported. I can’t get it to work with my wireless one, but it at least as onboard memory so I can set binds/rbg with a different computer as needed
