Dualboot and check what software they use. If you can get away with only Linux then you’re good. I personally always have a copy of windows available on a separate SSD in case I need it. Sometimes I take months on end without booting into it.

DonutsRMeh@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Newbie to BTRFS- how do I use Timeshift to create backups on another SSD?10·12 days agoUse pika backup instead of timeshift. Pika is an actual backup tool that puts your files on any drive you tell it to use (including remote). Timeshift is a snapshots tool, it reverts things to a previous state, it doesn’t backup actual files and folders.
Ah, I see. I got those at work, too. We have a whole team at work that is working on training a local llm on our whole company’s database for that purpose specifically, and I’m so excited for that. Looking up documentations sometimes could you take hours. Imagine an llm looking it up.
Sorry you had to go through that. Unpopular take to so many: AI is really good at detecting bugs if you don’t feel like hunting for an obscure bug all day. Just tell it to not change a thing and only find the bug.
Wow, how long did that take to find?
God damn. This gave me anxiety.
It’s worse when it’s just a semicolon.
DonutsRMeh@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Progress towards universal Copy/Paste shortcuts on Linux3·14 days agoOh, many people gave me shit for using caps lock, and the delay is a very well known issue on Linux in general. There are even a couple of fixes for it by some folks. Like this one. And even the archwiki has a workaround for it. It’s a major pain for me. lol
DonutsRMeh@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Progress towards universal Copy/Paste shortcuts on Linux53·15 days agoI don’t want copy paste buttons support, I want the caps lock delay to be fixed. Yes, I use the caps lock not shift, as my brain can’t get used to using shift for caps. I’m so tired of typing like THis all the time. 😂 (I’m using a hack currently that helps, but it would be nice if it gets fixed on Linux in general).
Did he mention himself amongst the people who were doing the cover-up? Because he was berating anyone who mentioned anything about Biden’s mental decline. I hate politics, but Jake Tapper sucks, and I don’t know why this post is here in this community.
