Personally, I would really like to see Valve add a video capture feature. Like how on Xbox and PlayStation, you can press a button to record the last 30 seconds of gameplay. Something like this is almost impossible to do conviently on Steam Deck and just Linux systems in general. Valve adding it in natively to the Steam UI would be absolutely amazing.
Anyway, what features or improvements would you like to see on Steam Deck?

There’s a few programs out there that do that already but it would be nice to see it built in and polished.
The downside to that is that for it to work, it has to be constantly recording so that it has a 30 second buffer of video. This works fine on Xbox and Playstation, but on Steam Deck that would be a constant drain on the battery.
That’s not to say that it would necessarily be on all the time. There could be a switch to only enable it when it’s plugged in, for example.
On the hardware side: -Better battery life -Nicer screen -EGPU support for docked gaming
On the software side, there really isn’t much. The UI could be a bit smoother sometimes, but it’s pretty good. I’m quite pleased with the software features, it does what I want it to do.
Today I learned that its pain to play together when your friend has the nreal glasses and you the Deck.
Why? You can only mirror your screen in Desktop Mode and not gaming mode. The desktop mode is hard to use when you don’t have an overlay, I think the asus rog would be easier to use without needing to close the game to navigate again. Big Picture in Desktop mode? Your game can be over it without having an overlay (played for the king).
I wish I also could easily duplicate the audio source with GUI instead of needing to google and use the terminal (but ateast its possible because no other platform can do this out of the box)
