Which is why I want to drive the ones who still have a duty to this country’s ideals to act. There ARE those who are like that, you know. And have the rule of law of this country on their side. So let’s go.

They can’t do that. The simple rule of LAW IN THIS COUNTRY should be enough to stop them. All we have to do is remove them from power. Where is the Democrats gathering part of our military and law enforcement to oust these people from our government? This is all it takes. Our country has very clear, simple laws that prohibit exactly what is going on right the fuck now from happening, and it’s still happening. Why? Because they’re afraid they’ll be seen as the same as the people from 6 January? That it will give these asshats some sort of ammunition against actual justice? Fuck them. Fuck them, throw them out, lock them up, and re-educate the people that this shit isn’t going to be tolerated. We can remove them forcefully because they did something wrong, they couldn’t remove anyone because we didn’t.
It’s that goddamn simple. How is it not that goddamn simple? Fucking do something. Fucking throw these fuckers out. Now. Not next election cycle, not whenever a bunch of people want to finally get off their ass and violently rebel, fucking right now.
No, because it doesn’t happen. Guaranteed your storage device or some other hardware component is having problems that is corrupting your drive.

the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the dumbest blockbuster movie you have seen that somehow received high praise?2·11 months agoIt was dumb, but at least it was semi-fun dumb. Thank goodness they never made any more Matrix movies after the first one.
shut up shut up shut up shut up no they didn’t shut up shut up
the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the dumbest blockbuster movie you have seen that somehow received high praise?1·11 months agoWhy do both of the Spider-Man animated movies look like they’re something like 15 frames per second? It actually made me sort of nauseous to watch them when things were moving around really fast.
the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the dumbest blockbuster movie you have seen that somehow received high praise?2·11 months agoOT lightsaber fights looked like people who practiced the idea of “less is more” combat and knew pointless flailing and twirling around was useless against a similarly skilled opponent. This MADE SENSE. Everyone in the prequels flipping around and going nuts with the lightsabers and all that – it was laughable. Even Luke in the OT who wasn’t as skilled as some of the so-called “masters” from the prequels used at least some restraint and thought when fighting.
The prequels are garbage and I’m sick of people who think they’re good just because we made memes out of them.
the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the dumbest blockbuster movie you have seen that somehow received high praise?4·11 months agoThere Will Be Blood. Wooden acting, almost nothing happens, the soundtrack is earsplitting noise, but everyone loves it because of the “milkshake” meme at the end.
Fuck that movie. Walked out on it halfway through, read about what “happened” afterwards later (spoiler: fucking nothing) and regret nothing.

How would you spend it so that you'll be the happiest you can be for 15$ ?23·11 months agoWhy is your decimal a comma and the separator a full stop? A comma continues a thought just like it continues a number, and a full stop (period) separates sentences, much like it separates a whole and fractional part of a number. Your system is ass-backwards and you fucking know it. You should be ashamed of it.

Go outside in even 10°C weather for a second, come back inside, freezing to death even in front of a heater for an hour because cold or even very cool weather chills me to the bone and it takes forever for me to get warm again
Yeah, I prefer summer.

This is how you sound. Just because there’s a ticket open for outlier bullshit doesn’t make it valid to gripe about endlessly, especially when there are so many possible, simple ways around it. Slightly annoying does not mean broken.
Phones have copy/paste, by the way.
the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•Here’s what we’re working on in Firefox | The Mozilla Blog1·1 year agoSure hasn’t helped AI/LLMs with accuracy yet. And never will. Computing doesn’t actually think and reason, it’s just mashing together bits of data it has, and if what it has now isn’t accurate, how is anything going to be?
You and others continue to harp on how great this new technology is and meanwhile we have seen it do nothing but absolutely, laughably fail. You keep saying it will get better, but it won’t. It is limited by the fact that computers don’t work that way. Sick and tired of the people justifying this garbage “tech” that is stealing art, code, text, etc, sucking up huge amounts of power, and giving wrong information, telling people to do dangerous things and even kill themselves because computers don’t know the difference.
Just admit it. AI/LLM is garbage. Please. Stop being a massive fanboy for something that has clearly, evidently, 100% failed miserably and dangerously.
the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•Here’s what we’re working on in Firefox | The Mozilla Blog1·1 year agoSo copy and paste it into something else on your computer if you’re too blind to see the difference in letters in that font (I can tell, easily) and tell it to use another font. PEBCAK issue, not a real one.
the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•Here’s what we’re working on in Firefox | The Mozilla Blog1·1 year agoYou can’t even rely on Wikipedia to be right, and how is reddit “content you can license”? Its articles are owned by their sites, and the original stuff posted there is from the poster and is usually wildly inaccurate or outright wrong (or even downright dangerous). And even when they do pull in tons of stuff they shouldn’t, the results are frequently laughably wrong.
You’re not making a good argument for LLM crap here. Just accept the fact that it’s a failed technology that needs to be shut down. Please. How are people so excited and gung-ho over this garbage, failed, laughably bad technology? It’s almost like people WANT chaos.

That’s what all these fad languages seem to be, and more keep popping up and declaring themselves the future of programming all the time. Just wait, rust will be forgotten for some other fad language everyone will start using soon enough. Stop reworking everything into the fad language of the moment and just work on existing code.
the_doktor@lemmy.zipto Linux@lemmy.ml•Federal agency warns critical Linux vulnerability being actively exploited219·1 year agoAny software can have security issues, including ones written in rust. Just because C/C++ allows one to shoot oneself in the foot doesn’t mean it’s something that’s commonly allowed by anyone with any skill, it’s just a bug like anything else. I swear, people advocating rust believe that it’s something intrinsic in C/C++ that allows such a thing regardless of what a developer does, and it’s getting tiresome.
Only morons listen to extremists about other extremists. - Me, now.
