Shit, I guess I’m a healer

Shit, I guess I’m a healer
So we’re complaining about AI via an AI generated image? 🙄

My Android tablet app was messing up too. Bullshit

The police report says both that he pulled the trigger with his shoe laces and also that he was wearing his shoes that were tied. The amount of heroin he took would have knocked out the biggest user within seconds, not really giving him time to act afterward. And then there’s the fact the house was unoccupied for over two weeks and out of the blue had a technician come over to fix something the day after he died so they could find the body.
Then there’s the suicide note. The first 2/3rds are somewhat positive, then the latter portion gets dark and the handwriting completely changes.
I don’t know that Courtney did it, but Kurt did not kill himself

It is worrisome watching the non-technical people grow to hate data centers because of their new association with AI. They don’t realize that their email and websites, like this one all need data centers too. Data center didn’t have to be a bad word, but the US tech industry has made it one

Except Ladybird is ran by a right wing guy 😞
I’d suggest looking at Servo or old KHTML if you want a true alternative

Fucking hell, why is every service going to shit now. I’m so tired of having to find alternatives

Having a Linux machine, with decent hardware as a common target for developers will have huge implications for gaming in Linux. The SteamDeck has already inspired more devs to make native Linux versions of their games, rather than relying on Proton. This should expand the appeal for devs even more so
They can’t monetize directly, but they can still do Patreon and sponsored ad reads. Maybe this already exists, but we could make it common to have donation wallets linked on videos, so you can still get tips too.
It’s just the ad revenue we can’t do
If there’s new functionality, it should have been a minor version bump smh
Thanks, but I don’t think that patch level updates are news worthy

Lemmy’s user base has been stagnant at half a million for over a year now. Something needs to improve. We’re still too small to have vibrant niche communities. I don’t necessarily want the kind of garbage that came in over the past 10 years or so here. I was already looking for an alternative to Reddit for quite a few years before the big Lemmy migration occurred 2 years ago. But I think we need to hit at least a million users to have the same quality and breadth of content we used to enjoy on the old site before Aaron died.

We should be a better community with better norms, but the software should be at parity with what we had in 2008

Good news, the block user feature has been around for a while

Lemmy is meant for all users. Get that bullshit out of here
No, I don’t believe this is an open source project. But I’m not aware of any alternatives. I can’t remember seeing an ad in the UI any time I’ve used it. Maybe a tiny banner ad if ever. But terrestrial radio stations all have ads embedded, so even an open solution would technically have ads
Get the app Radio Garden. Gives you access to almost every radio station in the world, but uses streaming
For equal effectiveness, there’s always /dev/null 😅
I love this track so much
