I followed the project on discord a while ago (yuck) and it seemed the creators had other things come up in their personal lives and the browser got put on the back burner. The zen browser seems to fill a similar firefox-based niche though.

I’ve never had that kind of problem, where do you usually run into them?
What’s wrong with FydeOS? It looks fine to me.
Yeah same, I don’t use my phone for too much, I think with a little more progress I could potentially move over to it for the most part. I do hope android compatibility can be improved though, it would be the biggest barrier of entry down the line. Also I definitely agree with you on updates, it’s frustrating that technology keeps improving and getting more efficient and the most of the popular proprietary software doesn’t really evolve and gets less efficient.
damn I really liked proton* too.
They only value human lives if it benefits them, it’s so fucked.
Of course. they’ll keep making “bugs” that harvest more data until they get caught, and then they’ll patch them.
I’m sure this has been said quite a lot but damn if this site doesn’t have the cleanest interface I’ve ever had the pleasure of using.
While I get where they’re coming from I do like brutalism to an extent and modern “block” architecture a lot.
when they compared these two
I personally prefer the second one. Do I think that all buildings should be brutalist or blocky? no, but they have their place and it isn’t insigificant.
I also like this too
I personally dislike the “extra-ness” of a lot of classic architecture. I will definitely agree that cityscapes are bland and lost most sense of uniqueness, but I do not think that the solution is regression to classic architecture.
I think they also left out a lot of the more friendly contemporary architecture like these and this
the screenshots though! someone gets it. I used brave for my school work because some sites required chromium and I missed the element picker for screenshots. Also the customization is amazing and one of the main reasons I love firefox.
I dont get this “pretend it didn’t happen” thing people like to push these kinds of changes as, because they are actively admitting that bad things did happen and they would like to avoid associating themselves and normalizing the idea of something as horrible as slavery and instead use objectively clearer and language and terms less rooted in historical trauma.
This is insanely well thought out
This is a helpful reply though thank you!
