To be honest I had no idea that people from this instance were doing it until one troll post bragging about getting us banned from Beehaw and explained how he did it, along with a comic book supervillian diatribe about how the Fediverse isn’t safe and long live Reddit.

It was wild because there I was thinking bike = faraday cage given that the tires are insulators.

It’s lousy being blocked by an entire section of the site and now labelled a bigot because some trolls made their accounts on the same instance as me.

I’m a guy who’s almost 30 (rip) and I like legos and theoretical physics and fungi and all things tech. I also like butts. They’re up there with quasars.

Like someone dropped a dump truck from 50 feet directly onto pavement. Big boom you feel in your chest.

I mean this with absolute sincerity: the average person is dumber than you would expect or imagine. That’s why scams exist.

Hitting back is an escalation

I was riding my bike and all of a sudden a storm rolled in. I was getting close to my house but I started to feel the air get really fuzzy and the hairs on my arms started standing up. The air smelled like ozone and things really didn’t feel right.

I immediately stopped and got off my bike and laid down. Lightning hit a post near me instead.

If I set my winter evening thermostat to 14C my wife would have my head on a spike in the front lawn. Police be damned.

Oh me! Loved Just Cause 2 and had an even better time with 3. I love it specifically because of how mindless it is.

No one plays Just Cause for the story (since it’s the same every game just pick a different part of the world). Flying, gliding, and blowing shit up. Bonus points for tethering a moving police car to another object and blowing even more shit up!

I don’t think trolls think that hard. It’s all for instant gratification. There are few dedicated and motivated trolls. It’s a low effort sort of deal.
