I’ve got no input into Nim but iirc Nitter is written in it, and I plan to customise a self hosted Nitter to spit out prettier RSS feeds one day.

At work you have a purpose, and so you fulfil it.

At home, to motivate myself to do the chores, is to find a rationale for it to be done.

• Laundry? So I can wear them to work / be ready to look nice when going out.
• Dishes? So I can have nice big servings of meals and be able to cook.
• Cleaning? So I can enjoy a nice, cleaned house without getting dirty when I walk around (walking barefoot inside is a good indicator when to clean)

Etc. Etc. Plus it helps to enforce the thought that I’m “adulting”, like the kid in me and others would say.

Any tips for the toothpaste? For me I have to get the sensitive ones because they put a shit ton of menthol in the non sensitive ones and it knocks the feel of my mouth out of balanace (read: too damn minty)

I have found the natural mineral toothpaste tends to work best but unsure if the lack of flouride can be an issue. Had some lovely lemony ones though. Bicarb can go suck it.

Can agree with the gel pills. I still do go for the normal compacted powder pills if I’m not doing much, but for a faster set-in the advil gel works the fastest.

You can also increase the passive noise cancelling by replacing the earpads for felt / velour or fabric lined ones, though bear in mind it will also affect the “feel” of the sound as it reacts differently to the stock PU leather.

The pasta water helps thicken the sauce and makes it more stickier, same way the cornstarch water slurry works.
