Ahhh some BreadTuber or somebody made a FANTASTIC video calling out golf courses and why they’re so ridiculous wasteful and I can’t find it… alfkjalfjasfas

I especially loved the video because it was related to my field of research and I was so impressed that the creator got all the details correct without having to overstate/exaggerate anything. If anyone can find this video please let me know. I’m looking for it now.

Even if they are personal property, local flora is always the chaddest and moral option against the virgin and demanding and predatorial lawn (unless you live in a place where lawn is local flora, which also exists, tho)

My in-laws recently replaced their overly manicured lawn with a lawn composed of a soft ground cover. It grows to a certain height and then just stops, so mowing isn’t a thing. They only mow it when they are about to have people over for croquet, which is what the lawn had mainly been used for.

True. I didn’t fully explain it. It flowers so bees love it, it doesn’t need as much water as grass, and I think it doesn’t require all the herbicide. Sure it’s not ecologically perfect, but if you want a lawn available then it is a least-bad option. They also do a lot of other gardening and such that is of benefit to the local fauna.
