Today I noticed dozen of antisemitic posts and a lot of microdosing posts that look like spam (not completely sure but looks like it) on the “homepage”. I think this is concerning, since this can easily bring unwanted attention to Lemmy and could be used against it (and it is really disturbing to see). I report every post, but I don’t know how much effective my actions are. Do you think this problem can be solved?

Bans, more bans. That’s the solution.
It seems that actually banning people take time, so maybe there is a need for more moderators? Or a better automatic filter, even if I’m ideally against it
Yeah, some have stayed up for more than 6 hours. For some reason it won’t let me report them and gives me an error instead.
I don’t even know why i was taking time to reply to one of these posts. But i noticed posts removed by mods will let you try to compose a response, and fail when submitting it (“deleted by creator” inaccurate error message).
For the sake of posterity, an excerpt of what i could not post:
You’re obviously just a 4chan troll and i have no clue why i’m even replying to you. You believe you’re redpilling us but the truth is you are being mind-controlled by humanity’s colonial overlords who have ruled us for centuries. No i’m not defending liberal “democracies” (like France/USA) who are not doing any better in any regard. They’re just more of the same strain of exploitative policies. Do yourself a favor and read something interesting to learn about history of the struggles of working-class blacks and jews. Maybe some Emma Goldman or Angela Davis to start with?
For some reason Lotide (which I use) still keeps up all the banned content and it’s still visible on my end and I can still comment. I hope that’s something that gets fixed on Lotide’s end, as nobody will ever end up seeing my comments since the posts are deleted lol
Once mods wake up and clean this up, we may have to think of a better solution so this can’t happen again
At least don’t let this kind of content appear on the homepage, maybe with a different “sort” method on the homepage. I don’t really know, sadly I don’t have any technical skill in this regard
The microdosing is not related, those trippers just post intensivly :)
Jesus, I create some subs, and post some articles (generally a few articles, once a day), in order to add content to the communities. If there is no content to discuss and get people engaged, then there’s no reason for people to join, now is there? If I find some fresh and relevant news, I post it.
And for that, I have been banned and my communities deleted.
I haven’t posted anything controversial, nor am I related to any brigading.
I thought Lemmy was better than this.

apologies if it got accidentally banned, there was a pretty large influx of right wing trolls from 4chan, so some of your posts/comments/communities may have been accidentally tagged and deleted, and account banned :(
